Ponggay Gaston signs with Chery Tiggo
PONGGAY Gaston enters the new year with a new squad in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers started 2023 with a bang by announcing their major signing on Sunday, just three days since releasing veteran ace Dindin Santiago-Manabat.

After a short-lived stint as Ateneo captain in UAAP Season 84 which was halted by the pandemic, Gaston joined the Choco Mucho Flying Titans where she reunited with former college teammates Bea de Leon, Deanna Wong, and Kat Tolentino in an Ateneo-laden roster.

The former UAAP champion saw limited action for the Flying Titans under now-departed head coach Oliver Almadro after the club signed top collegiate spikers Des Cheng and Isa Molde ahead of the 2022 PVL season.
It was only until the latter stages of the recently concluded Reinforced Conference where Gaston saw regular on-court action under interim coach Edjet Mabbayad, former assistant of Almadro.
The 25-year-old open spiker has yet to comment on her transfer as of writing.
